Keith Andrews is now an authorised dealer of BYD cars, which it will sell and service from its Mercedes-Benz dealership at 21 Rewa Rewa Road in Whangarei.

Mac Sykes with the BYD Atto 3.

The BYD brand launched in New Zealand in June 2022 and its line-up includes the fully electric Atto 3, recently awarded AA Driven ‘NZ Best Clean Car BEV of the Year 2022’.

“BYD Auto is the largest EV producer in the world and has a wide-ranging product portfolio,” says Keith Andrews director Kurtis Andrews.

“The Atto 3 is competitively priced, offers a 420km range and, alongside its endorsement as outright winner of the AA Driven Best Clean Car BEV of the Year Award, it is a compelling consideration for anyone looking to purchase an EV.

“We are excited to partner with BYD New Zealand and to bring this high-quality electric vehicle option to the Northland community.”

Keith Andrews operations manager Mac Sykes says the BYD product complements the business’ Mercedes-Benz Van sales, which will soon offer EV options such as the eSprinter.

“We have Atto 3 available now for existing and prospective customers to test drive and will provide the same high standard of aftersales support, parts and service that we do for our Mercedes-Benz vans and passenger vehicle customers,” says Sykes.

“For customers still trying to get their heads around owning an EV, we can also provide specialist advice and access to home charging technology.”
